The services provide comprehensive criminal advice and defence during the investigation, the intermediate stage and the oral trial. They include assistance before police and prosecution authorities; review of the charges and the indictment; definition of the statement strategy; the filing of exceptions, nullities and requests for dismissal; and preparation of the client, the theory of the case and cross-examination. They also include the assessment of alternative resolutions so that the client can decide in an informed and voluntary manner, and support for victims in civil compensation claims, applications for protection measures and cooperation with the prosecution, seeking to avoid re-victimisation.
